Position Details

• Position Title: Health and Wellness Director
• Location: Redwood, CA
• Experience : Senior Living experience highly preferred
• Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
• Compensation: $110,000- $130,000 per year, depending on experience

Qualifications

• Must be a current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensed
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing; leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop clinical and caregiving staff
• Strong knowledge of California Title 22 regulations, resident rights, and compliance standards
• Skilled in conducting resident assessments and developing service/care plans
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families, staff, and physicians
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and digital care documentation systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all health and wellness programs within the senior living community
• Ensure compliance with California Department of Social Services (CDSS) licensing requirements
• Conduct initial and ongoing resident health assessments; develop and update service plans as needed
• Hire, train, schedule, and mentor caregiving and nursing staff, ensuring adherence to care standards
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident health and quality of life
• Monitor care delivery, staff performance, and documentation to maintain high-quality outcomes
• Serve as the primary clinical leader, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and compassion
